Happy Mother's Day

Happy Mother's Day to all the moms out there.  Today is a special day dedicated to those women in our lives who gave birth to us, have children of their own, surrogate children, adopted children and fur babies.  You know who you are.  Some of us still have our moms in our lives, others of us don't.  Some of us want to be moms but aren't able too. I know this day can be hard for you, especially when we are all celebrating.  Please know that I am sensative to your feelings.

Fish Fit for the Oscars

Last night I made an herb and Panko crusted flounder for dinner. It’s a take on a dish that my grandmother used to make for us when I was a kid. Flounder is a light flakey white fish that always seems to be available It’s lighter and milder than tilapia in my opinion and can still be fished for in the wild. You don’t have to buy farm raised. My grandmother’s recipe was simple - a filet of flounder, covered with a layer of mayonnaise, sprinkled with a little salt and pepper and a drizzled with lemon juice from the plastic lemon bottle.

Soup Fit for A Storm

A winter storm named ‪#‎Jonas‬ is coming and I'm trying to figure out what to make for this weekend. Everyone has pretty much raided the grocery stores for the staples, but I've got those covered.
